How To Make Your Lips Look Larger

How To Make Your Lips Look Larger.
If you have small lips, thin lips, almost invisible lips or just want to give them a little more oomph then there’s no reason you can’t use a few little tips to fool people into thinking you’ve got Angelina Jolie-esque lips, and you don’t necessarily need to use a lip plumper to achieve them…

Highlight your lips:
Highlighting your lips can cause the lips to reflect light making them look larger, more plump and healthy, there are a number of different techniques you can use to highlight your lips.

Lip gloss: A gloss can add shine and dimension to your lips and help them to appear larger but there is a certain key on how to do this. Rather then applying gloss all over your lips (which can sometimes make it look like you’re drooling!) try applying it just to the center of your top and lower lip, this will reflect light and make your lips look larger.

Highlighter: Just like how you can highlight your cheekbones and numerous other parts of your face you can also make your lips look larger by applying a subtle highlight to the cupids bow of your lip, for the most precision use a clean small precision eyeliner brush or a concealer brush to apply it. You can also highlight  underneath the edges of your bottom lip to give the lips a lift and make them appear fuller

Shimmer powder: If you’re feeling a little more adventurous you can also try using a little shimmery powder highlighter in the center of your top and bottom lips.

Shading.
One of the best tips in the beauty industry to make your lips look a little larger and defined is to take a tiny amount of matte brown eye shadow or powder onto an angled liner brush and lightly shade just below the center of your bottom lip, this gives more dimension and makes the center of your lips more in focus.

Lip colour:
We all know that colour on the lips is one of the best things we can do to warm up the face and make it look more lively. There are hundreds of different colours out there, some can make your lips look larger others can make them look smaller.
It’s best to use a creamy sheen formula of lipstick as this will reflect light better compared to other formulas. In order to make your lips appear larger you’ll want to stay away from any dark shades (such as plum, deep wines, etc) and instead opt for lighter tones (or brighter!) shades of lip colours like light pinks, brighter looking nudes and of course don’t ever go past fiery reds and hot fuchsias.

Focus on the lips:
In order to draw the most attention possible to the lips try to keep the eyes quite understated so forget the smokey eyes and instead just opt for a little liner, mascara and a deep brown matte shadow in the crease to add definition and dimension to the eyes without making them the stand out of your face.

Lip plumpers:
These are also a great option for larger looking lips but should be saved as a last resort if possible. Lip plumpers work by containing ingredients which irritate the lips (such as the sting of a bee)  making them swell up, this can really cause the lips to become irritated and sore so use them as minimal as possible and if you have sensitive lips stay clear of them. Some lip plumpers which aren’t too irritating and work well are: Chris Krenzer peppermint lip gloss and Sally Hansen Lip Inflation Extreme. Be sure to get rid of your lip plumper after a year though as the plumping ingredients can turn bad and make the lipgloss very tacky.

Problematic lips:
If you’ve got one lip that’s bigger or slightly smaller then the other it can be challenging trying to figure out how to apply lip products in the most flattering way, so to make them appear more even use a slightly darker shade of lipstick on the bigger lip and a slighter lighter shade on the smaller lip, and unless you want to rock the ombre lip trend make sure they are almost the exact same shade or in a very similar color group!

Autumn 2012 Fashion Trends Straight from the Runway

Autumn 2012 Fashion Trends Straight from the

Runway

From burgundy as the new black to winter white, the looks from New York City's Fall/Winter 2012 Fashion Week ran the gamut.

Black & Blue

Carolina Herrera
The "it" color combination of the season is most definitely all about black and navy blue. And Carolina Herrera — whose first handful of looks to go down the runway made the hues of a boo-boo look red-carpet ready — nailed the mix with this striped dress.

Black & Blue

Preen
Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi played with varying shades of blue to achieve some layered looks that blend perfectly together.

Black & Blue

Cushnie et Ochs
At all the femme fatale looks on the designers' runway, it didn't get more luxe than this zipped-up black coat with midnight blue fur trim.

Burgundy

Rag & Bone
Per usual, David Neville and Marcus Wainwright made the concept of layering look like fine art. We loved the sangria-hued jacket and how all of the model's accessories were perfectly at home in the same color family.

Burgundy

Alexander Wang
This double-breasted jacket — the first in a series of garments featuring deep oxblood — was completely lacquered, and the finish gave it a slick, almost liquified look.

Leather

Rodarte
The Australian Outback was the setting inspiration for Kate and Laura Mulleavy's collection, but this matte black leather and white shearling dress could just as well be seen on the city streets of New York.

Leather

Michael Kors
Another case of mixing the conservative with the ultra-liberal: This chic leather top ups the ante on this otherwise demure combination of black capris and Mary Janes.

Winter White

Derek Lam
Nothing beats a warm Aran sweater when the temperatures take a dip, but in white? Post-Labor Day? When it looks as good as this knit-over-chiffon ensemble, we are more than okay with forgetting this one-time fashion faux pas.

Military

Jason Wu
In addition to bold fire-engine red and hot, hot pink, the designer also played with a more russety red with this chic cape-and-leather-pant look. It may just be the best outerwear to go watch the leaves change.

Rag & Bone
The juxtaposition of this floral tapestry in reds, greens, tans, and blacks with the hard edges of this jacket-skirt set was the perfect cap to the designers' collection.

Military

Tommy Hilfiger
Following suit with his fall military-inspired menswear collection, the American designer opened the show with a trio of high-necked, double-breasted cuts with bullion trim — looks that were still every bit as preppy-chic as one would come to expect.

Military

Victoria Beckham
Who wouldn't want to be on the frontlines with this olive-green vision? From the epaulettes to the two chest pockets to the retro pencil-skirt silhouette, this is fashion's best version of fatigues.

Fat Burning Tips - Fat Burning Walks!

Okay, here's Fat burning secret #1: Easily melt the fat off with 'Fat Burning Walks!'

If you want to know a great way to burn those extra fat calories when you are on a mission to get slim, toned, and sexy, then listen up.
Fat Burning walks are an amazing way to get your body off to a good start in the mornings. There are many exercises that can and will burn calories, but brisk walking for at least 45 minutes mobilizes the body to dip into fat reserves, and burn stored fat as fuel.
The fat burning zone is at 60-70% of your maximum heart rate. When you exercise within this zone, 85% of your calories burned are FAT CALORIES!! That is awesome right??? About 5% of the calories you burn will be proteins, and the last 10% are carbohydrates.
It's good to do these walks on an EMPTY stomach.
If there is food in your tummy, you will burn that first. When you exercise in the morning, after fasting all night, your body will go straight for the stored fat as it begins to move into that heart rate zone of 60-70% of your max.
What does 60-70% of your max mean? This means you will be breathing heavier, feeling increased exertion, and most likely sweating, but you will still be able to carry on a conversation.
You want to be sure you are allowing a minimum of 45 minutes time for you to do these walks. 45 minutes is recommended to give the body the time it needs to get into the stored fat. The longer you walk, the more fat you'll burn. It's pretty simple.
First 10 minutes: Burn away Fat-Creating glucose
Start with a 10 minute warm-up walk at an easier pace. This will lower your blood sugar and begin to burn off any stored glycogen in the muscles. When carbohydrates are consumed, they break down into glucose.
Glucose gets absorbed and used for energy. Any glucose that is not needed and therefore goes unused, will be stored in the muscles and the liver in the form of glycogen. Once the glycogen stores in the muscles are filled up, anything extra gets stored as FAT.
This is precisely WHY we want to start burning this off at the start of our walks!
Next 30-50 Minutes: Pick up the pace a little for Fat-Zapping action
After the 10 minute warm-up, pick up the pace to your fat burning zone, which is 60-70% of your maximum heart rate. Continue to walk in this zone for 30-50 minutes or more. Then you can begin to slow to a cool-down walk of about 10 minutes at the end.
Fat burning walks at this intensity are recommended to do five or more days per week to reduce health risks and increase fat loss. They can be done daily OR alternated with more intense workouts on other days during the week.
Those who are looking to burn fat however, should be doing fat burning walks no less than 5 or 6 days a week.

Remember, everyone's body is different.
Ultimately it is best to do some trial and error and find what works best for you. You may want to get the fat off quickly, or perhaps you are more at ease with loosing it steadily over a longer period of time.
Your current weight, your goals, and your lifestyle will determine what is going to be the best plan for you, but generally those who commit to these walks as many times a week as possible, get amazing results.

Beautiful Two-Toned Eyeliner Color Combos

Beautiful Two-Toned Eyeliner Color Combos

Two-toned eyeliner is a cool and fresh alternative to regular makeup. But to pull it off you have to combine the right colors. Whether you use both eyeliners on the upper lid or both upper and lower lids they should go well with each other regardless of being complemetary or contrasting.
To create a two-toned eyeliner look you can use neutral black and pair it with any other bright color or choose two eyeshadow colors that go well together and apply one to the upper eyelid and another which is more suited for your eye color to the lower lid.

Beautiful Eyeliner Color Combos

  • Turquoise and purple
  • Aqua blue and yellow
  • Pink and purple
  • Neon green and turquoise
  • Royal blue and green

The look can be completed with neutral and natural lip color like beige, brown, pink or simply a sheer lip balm. If these combinations are too dramatic for you opt for regular black eyeliner for your upper lid and colored eyeliner for the lower one or create a second colored line above the black eyeliner.
When choosing the two colors for your two-toned eyeliner look consider the color of your eyes and skin tone. Pink eyeshadow may not be the best choice for too a pale skin tone.
