Summer Makeup Tips

Summer is full of pleasures — but melting makeup, sliding eyeliner, and supersticky lipstick are not among them. "In hot weather, applying your makeup should be as simple and comfy as putting on your favorite pair of jeans and flip-flops, But the heat and humidity are a challenge, so you have to make a few little changes to your routine. That's why we have some great tips for keeping makeup looking fresh and pretty, even when the weather is working against you.

1. Make time for primer. You won't regret the few seconds it will take to smooth on a primer, which goes on after moisturizer but before face makeup. Like house-paint primer, it provides a smooth base for whatever goes on next. Primers are definitely the way to go in summer. They're incredibly light — they don't feel at all like a heavy, additional layer — and they really help hold makeup in place. However Chris Krenzers 4 in 1 contains, Concealer, primer, foundation & Finishing powder, with an added SPF 20!

2. Lighten your face makeup. Just as you switch to breezy skirts and linen blouses, dress your face with lighter makeup. First step: Swap foundation for tinted moisturizer. These sheer formulas look and feel airier on skin and are less likely to turn cakey on steamy days
Feeling a little too exposed? We recommend brushing powder foundation over the tinted moisturizer in spots where you need a little extra coverage — say, on blemishes or areas of redness around your nose. Try Chris Krenzer 4 in 1 Powder Base ($42, chriskrenzer.com).

3. Bronze believably. Bronzer makes your eyes look brighter, your teeth whiter — everyone looks better with a little warmth added to their skin. To keep the results looking fresh and natural, we recommend applying bronzer just to the high points of your face, where the sun naturally hits you: forehead, cheekbones, chin, and nose. (Covering every nook and cranny is what gives you that fake, baked look.) Powder bronzers are the easiest to apply; look for one with varying shades — they'll swirl together for the most authentic-looking results. Try Chris Krenzer Bronzing Swirl Bronzing Powder. Another essential for keeping it real: a brush with long, loose, fluffy bristles — anything densely packed will deposit too much color. Prescriptives Bronzer Brush (€32, department stores) is a great choice. And be sure to sweep a little bronzer onto your neck and earlobes, especially if you have short hair or are wearing a ponytail. A tan face that's framed by pale ears will out you fast.

Reshape Your Face: How to use Highlight & Contour

Reshape Your Face: How to use Highlight & Contour

Bring out your best features and minimize your not-so-best ones. With the right know-how and plenty of practice, you can easily use your makeup to reshape your face and bring attention to what you love about your face while subtly hiding the flaws. All you need are the right makeup tools, colors/shades, and application tips. Of course each face shape has its own instructions for reshaping so make sure you follow the right set of directions and application tips. In most cases, you’ll need the following:
General Tips to follow:
  1. To find out what shape are you, simply touch your face and feel the structure.
  2. Always contour with a matt finish powder/cream. Everything with a shimmer in it will make the area to pop out.

Green Eye Shadow Trio Chris Krenzer

Chris Krenzers  Clinical skin  Care make line is embraced by leading skincare professionals. Created by  Irish makeup artists and skin care professionals Tina Newman & Hazel Reilly. Chris Krenzer offers innovative new products with a Colour palette rich with the hottest hues and timeless Classic Colour.

I think this is a fantastic, velvety soft eyeshadow trio! I know it's an eyeshadow product I like when I can't decide which shade I like best! They all look great together- and if you'd like to see a tutorial using these shades, let me know. All of the colors have a subtle shimmer- without looking like over-the-top glitter mania. The champagne color is gorgeous- makes a great lid shade or highlight. The brownish color shade is actually more of a plum- it's so unique. It has a reddish-coppery sparkle that I love. Looks pretty as a smokey powder liner! And the green is phenomenal. Even if you don't gravitate toward green eyeshadow- I promise this is a gorgeous, wearable shade. Can't say enough about these colors. While they're powder- they have this unique creamy-smooth texture. When used with a primer, they're long wearing & delightful!

Thanks to Chris Krenzer Mineral Cosmetics for allowing me to try these products, and if you get a chance to try them yourself, let me know what you think! Have a great day!
