Sleep Makes Your Prettier

By now, you’ve probably heard a million times how important sleep is for your health and your overall quality of life. But, hey, we know that work and life stresses often impede the amount of quality sleep you can get. So, how can you ensure that you can fall asleep easily and make it count towards better beauty too?
Avoid Alcohol Before Bed
This tip may crush many dreams (as I myself love a glass of wine before bed), but new studies have shown that while a few sips of your favorite merlot make you sleepy, it prevents you from entering your deepest stage of sleep. And, of course, it’s that deep stage that is truly the most restorative.
Use A Satin Pillow Case
Ohhh. I think you may need to go shopping for some new linens. It’s for your own good after all. Satin will help you wake up with smooth skin, as it doesn’t cause it to crease. Also, satin is better about keeping your hair free from those pesky tangles.

Make Sleep Work for You
If you’re going to be asleep, you might as well get some beauty benefits from it. Use an overnight teeth-whitening kit, and moisturize your hands and feet before bed. This will help you to wake up with prettier teeth and smoother skin than when you went to sleep. (If you have sensitive teeth, however, you might want to ask a dentist about wearing whitening kits all night, as it might be harmful to your teeth.

Sleep On Your Back

New studies have shown that sleeping on your back can actually prevent wrinkles, because your skin won’t acquire permanent creases that are hard to hide throughout the day.

Sleep Makes Your Prettier

It sounds crazy, but a recent study in Sweden found that people were considered more attractive by others when they got enough sleep. Scientists showed photos of the same person after a week of being well rested and a week of horrible sleep. Time after time, the photos of the well-rested people were considered more attractive. It sounds like a no brainer, but it’s good to have science back it up.

Lack of Sleep = Hunger

A recent study found that people who didn’t get enough sleep were actually hungrier during the day and therefore more prone to overeat and gain weight. So, get your beauty rest, ladies. It’s hard enough to avoid those cravings even after a great night’s sleep!
