Makeup Tips for Droopy Eyes

Sad-looking peepers can make you look older and more tired than you are, which is not what gals typically want. Although there's not much you can do to get rid of the saggy eye shape, you can implement some makeup techniques to look more bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and of course, super hot.

Foundation

To make your under-eye area look fresh and alive, apply a small amount of skin-toned foundation underneath. Just a dab here and there can cover up any circles you have underneath and can counter act any shadows you have from your droopy-eye shape. Blend in the foundation with your ring finger to avoid looking too made up, and your eyes should appear brighter and lighter in no time.

Liner

Eyeliner is a droopy-lidded gal's best friend. Not only can it make your lashes look lush and full, but it also helps to open up your eyes. Start by applying a primer to your lids, which helps your makeup stay around longer. Apply the liner as close to your upper lashes as possible. Use a cotton-tipped applicator to smudge and soften the lines toward the outside of your lids, and your eyes should have a lifted and sultry-looking appearance.

Shadow

Powder shadow is where it's at for gals with droopy eyes. Adding color and softness to your eyes, the shadow won't settle into any lines you have around your eyes, which can certainly add some age to your face. Since darker colors can make your peepers look heavy, stick with a neutral taupe shade on your lids and a warm brown in the crease. Doing so gives your eyes definition and can make them appear lighter.

Mascara

Curled lashes also can give your droopy eyes a boost. Place your lashes in a curler for about 10 seconds to give them some lift. Apply two coats of black or brown mascara to your lashes, wiggling the wand back and forth as you do to prevent clumping. Your lashes should look super full, and the curl makes them look more open. If you've got a case of puny lashes, beef them up beforehand with a lash primer, which makes them look even thicker and longer.
